Boots on the ground wasn't as eventful as a phrase as people would have thought just hearing it, at least not yet. Stake outs seemed a lot more interesting in movies, when two cops would sit in their car and trade witty banter with one another until they had something better to do. Capture the criminals, kick some ass, drop some horrible one liners and then.... progress?
Instead, Gabby was sitting in the drivers seat of a van that wasn't hers with Chinese takeout with her phone propped up and plugged into the console to keep it charged while she kept her eyes on the storefront across from her. Based on what Noah had given her, the storefront was... well, a front. But not for just any innocent store. It was a small hit for them to take on that connected back to the files they'd pulled from Iris Labs. Expansive criminal empire? Good. She was going to give it another firm little kick to another small operation to burn some time. Because she didn't exactly have anything else going on in her life other than what Noah could point her at. And right now that meant they had to wait until Noah's go, who was presently jumping in between the security systems within the building., familiarizing himself with the environment. Gabby was doing the same, watching as different images flashed across the screen that was propped up before her.
The storefront area looked simple enough. However, the area behind it, when she took the time to flip through it and even when Noah got into a coded manifest... well, it seemed like they were trafficking drugs through a small warehouse area in the back. That was simple enough. She could handle that with ease - it was just a matter of taking out the guards, call the police and leave them in a position to be captured. Noah was already having information copied and saved to one of his server farms for review, so from there they would have something to work with when they got back to the Locker. First they just had to make a statement.
"Gabby." Said Noah's voice, getting her attention as she glanced up from her freshly finished takeout. Her eyes met the camera of her phone and the images flickered out to a blue overlay that was Noah's marker of presence. "Let's get this done quickly. I counted at least six men inside." It was good he kept track then, Gabby had only seen four. "Got it." And just like that, up came the black bandanna wrapped around her neck, tightened, and her hair was quickly tied off and pushed into her ball cap before her hand came up and grabbed the phone before she hopped out and turned from the van, tossing the takeout and tilting her head down as she made her way across the street. Noah was already bound to be blurring her form to the security cameras, so she wasn't too worried about that. What she did next was bound to get some peoples attention anyway and drastically shorten the time she would have on the ground anyway. Which was why she needed to move quickly and keep to a strict timetable.
She walked forward, avoiding the gaze of a man inside and stood just around the side of the building before her hand came up and tapped her phone with her thumb. Noah gave an affirmative beep before the van across in the alley she had just in revved to live and began rolling forward, blasting through the storefront suddenly with a loud crash. Yelling followed, and Gabby walked around the side of the building to the coded lock she had examined earlier. "Noah." Before she'd even finished saying his name, the locks light turned green and the door popped open. They were in, which meant they had to keep this momentum going.
It'd be a real shame if something went wrong there.
